Antonio Quiñones-Rivera, PhD

Antonio Quiñones-Rivera is the Product Safety and Sustainability Manager for GOJO Industries, a global leader in hand hygiene and healthy skin and the inventor of PURELL® Hand Sanitizer. Antonio joined GOJO in 2014.  Antonio provides product safety, sustainability, and toxicology support for both on-going business and new product development with an emphasis on cosmetic and OTC Drug products. He also leads the sustainable chemistry implementation team.

Antonio has a broad range of professional experience in regulatory toxicology and environmental science. He served as an environmental scientist at the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) in Atlanta, GA, where he conducted human exposure assessments for communities impacted by environmental contaminants. At Ashland Chemical, in Dublin, Ohio, he conducted chemical risk assessments to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance.

Antonio holds a B.S. in biology and an M.S. in environmental science from the University of Puerto Rico. He graduated from Cornell University with a Ph.D. in environmental toxicology.
